Thanks, guys. I've been home from work about an hour and she is much calmer than yesterday. Annette said she has been calmer all day. Didn't argue about shower or hair or getting fingernails cut. They were soooo long, I was afraid she would hurt herself.
I bought thin flat rugs with rubber backing, no fringes or tassels, because she complained about the wood floors being slippery and her slippers and shoes have rubber soles. I thought about putting strips of adhesive tape on the bottoms of her shoes, you know, like you did for your daughters with the first pair of "big girl" patent leather shoes? Or am I showing my age?? ;) Hopefully I can get some sleep tonight. Got about 3 hours last night, slept thru the alarm at 5. Woke up when it turned off (radio alarm) so got a little extra. Jim usually pokes me awake, but he slept on too. Poor guy, he is as tired as I am. I worry more about him. He'll be 69 next month and still working full time and taking all the overtime he gets offered. I want him to be able to retire if he wants to. But he probably doesn't want to. He'd be home all the time since gas is too expensive to go driving for the heck of it.
Better run, see what's going on in her room.
You girls are wonderful!! Talk later.
Susie
