I have been through the mill recently finding out I have anemia, both B12 and iron due to fibroids I am 42 and for a few years have had really bad bleeding at periods and horrible ER sending migraines. Was diagnosed with MS which may turn out to be false. Anyway the latest in my repetoire is sudden attacks of tachycardia of 120 or so and this usually starts with flushed hot face and short of breath while it is happening. I don't remember my mother having a hot flash this bad. I usually have to take an ativan now to stop it. Is this peri symptoms or just anxiety or both?

I had tachycardia already but it increased with menopause. When I stand up after laying down, my heart races and I sweat. Cardiologist said it is just because of the blood trying to pump harder. Ok. I also had fibroids. One dr said I needed a hysterectomy. I went to another dr and he said he could take them out. I already had surgery years ago for a demoid. I read though, fibroids often shrink with menopause so I said I would wait. Well, one is now completely gone and the other two have shrunk no longer causing discomfort
