I have a female relative that has genital herpes. She had some blood work done a few days ago. When her lab tests came back it showed her white blood cells are low. Does anyone know if the herpes virus can cause this? Thanks for your reply.

Hey D&C! Good to see you post again. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif I've never heard of this, and since herpes creates an infection I would think the white blood cell count would go up, not down, but I'm not a doc.
