View Full Version : Dizzy, doppy, foggy-headed on Levaquin

I've been feeling like this after taking just the Symbicort inhaler, too, but it worsens after I take my dose of Levaquin. Which is a shame, this is the first antibiotic that really started to help me...but now I don't feel like its helping as much. More of my symptoms are back. And, I know what that will mean from the dr as I've been on antibiotics too many times to count- they will want me to take it longer.

I had hoped that the dizzy and tired/heavy headed feeling would go away after awhile but since its been almost 2 weeks on it, I don't guess it will. If anything with our weather here changing all the time, it is getting worse! (It went from 45 to 90 yesterday and today its now 70 and will probably hit close to 100). Yes almost 100 in May folks!

I don't think that this feeling as unpleasant and tough to do WORK at my job is, is enough for me to totally quit taking it but its very annoying. Anyone else had this issue w/ Levaquin? It is the only side effect I notice too.

I have been on Levaquin for 3 weeks with another ten days to go. I told my sister yesterday that I don't need tranquilizers cuz I have Levaquin. yes, i have had a very strange reaction to it.

I took it yesterday with no food and I was so shaky that I could barely get my arm up to my mouth to eat lunch 30 minutes later. I had a feeling of extreme nervousness with a sleepy feeling with it. Go figure that one out.

I think Levaquin lowers my blood sugar big time which caused my shaky feeling. Also low blood sugar can seem like loopy-dopiness-sleepiness for a while after you take it.

I think my sinus infection is almost gone and I will be happy to be off this med.

Wow, that is odd to feel all shaky! I know that's not fun- I felt like that the other day and figured it was something else. Today is actually my last day on this med! FinallY!

But, unfortunately I'm still having symptoms (same ones) as when I came in.I'd say I may be 50% better and definately can breath better out of my nose since taking this. I was on a 2 week course but just before that was on Biaxin and then they switched me to Levaquin. While some symptoms are gone, I still blow my nose constantly which is crappy! Because I do not want to be on this stuff any longer!!
