View Full Version : Another Visit To Urologist

been a year since my first visit to the urologist to check on a high psa count during a physical. seen him 3 or 4 times since then and as far as i know i no longer have the psa problem, but he did diagnose peyronie's (without examination) back in august based on my description of bent and painful penis during erection. he had me on 800 mg of vitamine e daily and also appling the vit e directly to my penis twice a day. recently was seeing a cardiologist about my blood pressure and he had me quit taking the vit e, because of recent studies indicating it was not good for the heart to take large doses for extended time periods. been watching my penis do some crazy things during this time period and think it's starting to get to me! spend far to much time thinking about the deformity that i'm seeing and wondering where all of this is going. get real emotional for no reason at all...even get teary eyed watching comercials on tv, lol! don't really know why i'm putting this up except maybe to get it off my chest. any advice on what to say to the urologist?

well the visit to urologist was as expected...pee in a cup, take blood, advised to keep applying vit e to peyronie's and still no examination. blood work came back ok with psa of 2.4...see you in a year he say's! do i need to see someone else about the peyronie's...is my description of symptoms enough to diagnose and re-visit a year from now? still confused!

Did you tell him what the cardiologist said? I think you need a different urologist in any event. Did he even ask if the vit E helped or not? There are other treatments for this.

What is your age? The PSA is a little high unless you are over mid 50's or older.

age is 61 and yes he asked about the oil helping or not. told him that i could tell no difference...briefly told me about injections and other topical applications, but said he would rather wait.

Since this clearly bothers you and is painful, I suggest you get a second opinion on it. There is surgery available I believe.
