I would think starting with an allergist/immunologist might be a first step.
I have a terrible reaction to prednisone which is, in a way, a stimulant as it gives me an adrenaline rush as well as flushing and itching.

I also cannot take cold medicines so I just plain avoid them. Fortunately, I haven't had a cold in ages, but if I do, I just let it run its course rather than mess with medication.

It could be that you're just going to have to avoid those things to which you are hypersensitive, but that would be a doctor's decision.

Good luck -- I hope someone can help you.

Beeeb-

Edelweiss is correct, it sounds like you need to find a good allergist/immunologist - your issue sounds more like immunology than a specific allergy (immune disorders include hypersensitivities, in which your body responds inappropriately, or too intensely, to harmless compounds).

You may have to talk to a couple of different allergist/immunologists before you find one who can help you deal with your situation.
