Hi

I am a 46 yr old female. I have noticed for about the past year that I lose alot of hair while in the shower.
I will shampoo and while rinsing I can feel the hair with the water go down my body. I then started using a comb after I shampoo and before I rinse and I can't get over the amount of hair that is in my comb.
I have naturally curly hair and there are no balding area but may be a little thinner but nothing drastic. Could this be related to premenopause/hormonal change? I have gyn appt next week and will ask the good doc about it!!

Thanks
Brenda

In addition to menopause, it could include other hormone situations such as diabetes, insulin resistance, PCOS, thyroid, etc. It's probably time for a complete blood workup.
