I have type II diabetes and take metformin 850 x 3 for it. I also have high blood pressure and am on four different meds for that. On a couple of mornings lately, I have had low blood pressure that made it very hard for me to do anything without almost passing out. It was probably normal bp, but very low for me - 105-108/65-70. I am not sure about the first morning that happened, but I do know that today I had a pretty high fasting bg, too - 247.
Could the high fasting bg be causing the low bp? During most times of the day, my bp needs to come much lower, as it consistently runs 160/90-95 in the evenings, but I am not sure how they can lower that if I am prone to the low bp in the morning... I guess I need to determine if there is a bg/bp connection more than anything.
It does seem to help for me to drink some water - is that a sign that dehydration is causing the low bp? Can high bp cause dehydration?
Thanks
Ramona
