I am trying to mix-up my strength training program and need some suggestions for different exercises (with free weights - the machine ones are obvious) to vary routine.

Upright rows, overhead presses and lateral raises are pretty much the staples of freeweight shoulder work. Doing incline presses hits the (anterior and some medial)deltoids more than flat presses as well.

You can also get different body parts to work besides the shoulder depending on how your body is, if it's bend over, you have to engage your core muscles (trunk) you can also do certain Yoga poses while holding weights like the side plank or other arm poses
