I have developed this very mild and somewhat vague fatigue feeling in my legs and bit more in one than the other...but it is a bit scary. Feels almost like I have used the leg too much...like when you stress the muscle from exercising. Anyone else? Another ugly symptom rears its head. I struggle not to be petrified. I am taking anti-anxiety meds and started on hormones and I hate that I have to take this stuff!!!! But not sure what to do. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I do know that the " 35 symptoms of menopause lists" say that joint and muscle aches and weakness are one of the symptoms. Maybe an anti-inflamatory, like Ibuprofen, before bed would help. (if they don't upset your stomach)

Best of luck. I hope you can get some relief.

I am through menopause but still get the "muscle weakness" feeling when I'm really stressed, especially on one side. I think it's just related to anxiety because it's been going on for years! We obviously all have some sort of health anxiety or we wouldn't be on these boards looking up symptoms, right ;) Take care and try not to worry too much. :)

My insides have stopped trembling so much but now I have a kind of weak feeling inside almost like how you feel if your muscles have been stressed by exercise. Anyone else ever felt this?

Do you know how you stopped the trembling? That is my worse symptom and other than small amounts of ativan that help, I am not sure other than anti-depressants what might help.

My muscles hurt all the time, but I also have fibromyalgia, so don't know if its from one thing or another. I am told exercising might help, but some days I feel so tired and bad I don't know if I can do much, and now its 100 here, so walking outside is out for me.

Dear Sillyme...i Too Have Gone Through The Trembling Or Tremors As Some Of Us Call It....for Me It Was The Worst Of My 33 Symptoms.
As I Have Written To Many Others First Is To Stay Calm And Take Your Mind Off The Feeling As Much As Possible....i Used To Watch Tv With The Light On ( Not A Time To Stay Alone In The Dark) I Would Watch A Comedy Like I Love Lucy...keeping Busy Was Key For Me There Were Times When I Was So Uncomfortable That I Would Drive Around In My Car With The Radio On And Believe It Or Not I Wouldn't Feel The Shakes At All...this Is A Real And Quite Common Symptom Of Hormone Imbalance .after A Few Months I Went On A Vitamin Regiment A Complete Daily Plus Fish/borage/flax....i Started Drinking And Eating A Lot Of Soy...within 2 Weeks All Symptoms Drastically Diminished...now My Tremors Come On Occasion Very Briefly And Mildly Before My Period Time...this I Can Deal With......i Had Many Other Peculiar Symptoms Of Hormonal Imbalance....some Doctors Look At You Like You Have Two Heads But These Symptoms Are Real And Will Diminish....this Board Saved Me And Took A Lot Of My Fear Away......you Will Not Die From The Trembling Just Keep Talking To Yourself About It And Stay With Us Through The Journey.........take Care ....pam

I spoke too soon...the trembling has intensified again..so it was great getting your info. Went to the doc today for aphysical because I am so scared...somedays I am better others worse but this trembling bothers me so...I am so scared that I have Parkinsons, or MS or something neuro wrong with me. Did you have the checkup to confirm that all was ok and that it was just the menopause? Just wondering..I will increase my soy and I am taking L-Theanine along with other herbals that have been recommended...
but about how long did it take to feel an improvement?
I also get a quiver in my top lip occasionally...a feeling like chills going up my neck into the side of my head...and the trembling actually goes up from my torso into my neck area now...is that normal? I have been stressed waiting for the results of an abnormal pap and endometrial biopsy...praise God all came put ok on that but i think the stress of waiting and worrying got to me. I am a mess again!

Thank you Pamcat. I went thru something similiar 4 years ago, and eventually it got better ( not 100% normal). I do remember taking magnesium back then. I will get more soy as well. Anything that might help will be a blessing.

Thanks so much

I think it is supposed to relax you. That is all I know. Seems to help some. Certainly can't hurt
