:mad:So, I just found out that I may not be able to start when I had wanted to! I was talking to my acupuncturist today about my scheduling. If I don't fall pg between now and then, I will get AF in the middle of my cruise in July (which has been planned for a year now through my in-laws) and they will not be able to do the standard 3 day blood work if I am away and my acupuncturist said they can't do it any later because it's a critical time to check the hormone levels!!!:mad: July is the month I wanted to start IVF because I am a teacher and that would be the best time for me. This way I would have the rest of the summer to relax and go through my cycle without the hassel of work getting in the way! With ranging hormones, a hot summer, and having to move my classroom before September, I will not want to be still in the midst of IVF at the beginning of the next school year! So, now I don't know what to do!!! I will only be able to still do this if AF miraculously comes late...or maybe miraculously, I will become pg from a natural cycle or possible IUI before July...which is doubtful. I just want to cry...I wonder why sometimes it has to be so hard, as if it isn't hard enough...:(

I'm sorry to hear about your dilemma.....:( Planning in this 'journey' is very awkward and frustrating. I hope you are lucky enough to fall naturally, and then all the stress will be relieved.

I'm sorry you're running into problems. It's never easy to schedule IF treatments around our every day schedules!
Could you maybe just try for one more month and then if you don't get pg naturally, be put on BCP until just after your cruise? That way you could start your stims right after the cruise? Just a thought.
I hope you can come up with a good solution. Wishing you the best. - April

KM, I'm so sorry you're having trouble w/ the scheduling!! I think April has a great idea, you should see if that's a possibility. It might solve the scheduling issues.
Sending you hugs!!

Hey KM, I am SO sorry to hear how disappointed you are about the possibility of not doing IVF. But April has a point... I was always put on bcp's and then my cycle was essentialy controlled... After my last pill I'd get AF then have my baseline u/s and b/w done. Could it be too late to start you on bcp's before your cruise? I guess you do have to have an AF before you take the first pill. But maybe it's something to talk to your RE about. Well my heart goes out to you... I hope you'll get a nice surprise and get an unassisted BFP! (((Hugs))) for now!

Thanks ladies:)...I made an appointment with a new RE for June 3rd...so I will ask then about the scheduling and the BCPs...I was also considering doing an IUI next cycle and was wondering if I would most probably be on progesterone. If I don't get pg, then I could probably delay AF a day or two by stopping progesterone late right? Could that work? What do you all think?:jester:

KM, good luck with your new appointment. As for the progesterone delaying AF, it may not work. In my case, when I did my IUI's, I was on Prometrium, and I still got AF when it was due. However, with my IVF I was on POI injections and that did delay AF. So I don't think it's something you can count on. Hopefully your new RE will be able to help you figure out something and you'll be able to cycle in July/August as planned. Good luck (and I'll hope for natural PG before then)! - April
