I was just reading on nerve sensitization - this doctor I saw two weeks ago brought this up as a potential problem to me until he saw my xrays then he shifted directions.

I just read something that caused me to have a light bulb moment. I had a nerve block last September and I began having immense unbearable excruitiating pain on the table and I have been on pain meds since. Prior to this injection I was on percocet here and there maybe 1/2 max a day 5-325. After this injection, I needed 6 a day just to get thru the day and still in immense pain.

Anyhow, this article that I was reading stating that this Myofascial Pain is sometimes caused by damage to the nerve sheath ? Do you know anything about this aspect of this?

Pepper, I'm going to start a thread explaining what myofascial pain is and what I have learned about it over the last 8 years. It seems, all of a sudden, that several people have posted that they have just been diagnosed and are asking about it, so I will try to explain all that I can.

As you will see in the thread, many things can cause CMP, so I hope it helps. Hugs, CMP/MM

Thanks. It is very interesting and to be honest it sounds like it could be part of my problem.

Please keep to Pain Management Topics only. Diagnosis related questions or general medical questions should be placed in the appropriate forums.
Thank you.
