Hi everyone,

I was out of town these last 5 days for work so i haven't been able to keep up.

My first beta was last wednesday and BFP....the number was 44.

I didn't have my 2nd beta until this morning so i was so nervous this whole weekend and praying that the numbers went up.
Well, HOLY MOLY they went WAAAY UP........626!!!!

The nurse called me and said she calculated and then re-calculated again and the number should have been 352 today.
She said its either one VERY healthy baby or possibly TWINS.
OH MY GOD!

I go back Fri morning for U/S and B/W so we'll see what happens next?? This is just crazy.

Hi girls,

I had an U/S and B/W yesterday and the doc said everything looked "splendid".
I actually could see one little emb sac...so, there's just one, but it looked good!!:):) You couldn't see anything inside it yet cuz its still too early. My Hcg jumped to 2077 so that was a huge relief, too. The nurse said there could possibly be more than one embie if it implanted later but it's still too early to see.

My next appt is next Fri and they'll do another ultrasound. By then we'll be able to see inside the sac AND we'll DEFINITELY know if it's just one or 2 babies by next week!

So far so good!:D

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing weekend!

I hope this week goes by quickly....can't wait till Friday's U/S.

I'm still nervous and i guess i will be until the baby actually gets here safe and sound!! DH definitely has his guard up too. He doesn't want to get too excited just yet and i can't blame him for that.

Kari - Friday will be a HUGE day for both of us. Have you been feeling ok? I had a little bit of nausea yesterday. Other than that i've just had that "tight" feeling in my stomach when i get up in the morning. It feels like i did 1,000 sit-ups...the muscles feel sore. I've also had bad headaches this past week, but my doc said to take Tylenol and that helps a little.

I'll give you all the update as soon as I can on Friday! God, twins would be AMAZING!

Kari15

Bee's I know, I really wish it were the end of the week already! I think we'll both know for sure how many we've got come Friday! :) Hopefully we both find out our due dates too... I'm thinking they have to be VERY close together. As for worrying, I don't think any IF graduate will ever relax until we have our babies in our arms (and then I'm sure we'll still worry!). I am doing okay. Like you, have had a bit of nausea but not much and not bad. I am almost always feeling something down there, usually little cramps or these twinge like pains, which I think could be my overstimulated ovaries but I have no idea. I did have a scare tonite as my cat got spooked and jumped hard on my tummy while I was laying on the couch. It was up high right above my belly button and almost knocked the wind out of me. I think I'm ok but it was very scary. Don't think I'll let the cat lay on the back of the couch behind me anymore! Well hope you keep feeling well. I'll be thinking of you especially as Friday draws nearer!

Hi Bees!!!

Friday is going to be another exciting day on the boards!! I can't wait! You must be even more anxious than I am. I'm so excited for you. Things are going to go splendidly!!

Kari, I just wanted to comment about your scare. I had almost the same thing happen to me...You probably remember that we have a dog (actually, we have 2 now). Well, my adult dog was lying on the couch next to me resting her head in my lap & the puppy came over trying to get her to play. In her excitement, she stepped right on my stomach as she was getting up & it really hurt me!! She weighs 63 pounds, so I was terrified that something bad happened to the baby. All was fine at my next u/s appt though. The babies are well protected in the uterus & all my pregnancy books even say moderate car accidents should not bring on misscarriage or preterm labor. Of course, we still need to be careful, but I was just hoping that would make you feel better. I'm sure your babies are fine. :D

Bee's! We are ONE DAY CLOSER TO FRIDAY!!!! YAY!!!! :bouncing::bouncing::bouncing: Hey, so have you told anyone yet about your BFP? Hope your afternoon is going good!!!

Holly, thank you so much for sharing your story. My DH was so worried that he actually stressed me out more than the incident itself! BTW, you must have some big puppy dog there... 63lbs!?!?!!! That's almost as big as my full grown lab/chow mix (who BTW is snuggled up so tightly against my leg right now as I lay in bed... he is SO cute!)!!!

Kari, I'm so glad my story made you feel better. It can be very scary when something unexpected like that happens, but I'm certain your little ones are just fine. BTW, it was my adult dog that jumped on my belly & she weighs 63 pounds - my puppy actually weighs more - yep, that's right, I said more! :D The puppy is a 5 month old rotti & weighs 69 pounds! He starts school this week - with how big he is going to get, we want to make very sure he will be totally obedient by the time the baby gets here. At least we won't have to rent a pony for the baby's birthday parties! :jester:

Bees, sorry to take over your thread!! I am still thinking about you & looking forward to your appt on Friday! :)

Hey girls,

My dog is pretty jumpy as well! He'll be in a deep sleep and then hear something and LOOK OUT! If he's on the sofa, you will get trampled. Thank god he's only 20 pounds.

Since i found out i'm pregnant, whenever i sit on the sofa I put a big pillow on my stomach/lap, that way i know i'm cushioned from any puppy damage!:D
I love him to death, but he's just too erratic!

I have told a few people about being pregnant...mostly family, but that's only because my mom is out of control and cannot keep a secret.
I'll definitely start telling friends after Fri appt cuz then i'll know how many to tell them to expect!:):)

2 more days!!

Bee's, the pillow idea is brilliant! I really should start doing that myself cause our cat is constantly frantic.

I'm so exicted that another day is down this week and we just have two short days to go!!! Friday will seriously be here before we know it! Hope you are having a good nite... dreaming lots of sweet baby dreams!!!

OK,
I cannot help myself. I am soooo nervous about Friday.
Every bad thought has been running through my head. I'm just so used to expecting bad news and hearing bad news. I am used to disappointment...isn't that sad??!!

I keep thinking that they won't see anything in the sac. Or that they won't see a heartbeat or something terrible like that. Is it possible to still get the really high HCG level like my last one (2077) and to still keep feeling crampy and there NOT be anything in the sac?? I'm just so paranoid right now. I think this week of waiting has been harder than any other week!

I thought i would have to go to the appt alone, but DH just told me tonight that he'll go with me on Friday so i don't have to be alone! wwhew!

One more day! Oh my god, i hope things are ok!

Oh Bees! I really feel for you! It is so hard to simply believe everything will be okay when we have been through so much. This is my 3rd pregnancy - the 1st one was unplanned & was tubal. Not only did I lose the pregnancy, but I also lost a tube in the process. The 2nd one was a result of our first IVF, but we never even made it to an u/s. My beta numbers started falling a week after bfp. With this pregnancy, I was TERRIFIED to go to the dr's office. I was SURE that something was going to be wrong. I had myself so worked up that my bp was 160/100! It has NEVER been that high before. I completey understand what you're going through right now.

But everything is working out for me with this pregnancy & I believe it's going to work out for you as well. Your numbers were doubling as they should have, & the cramps are also a very good sign. I truly think you are going to have a wonderful appt tomorrow & you will be crying tears of joy. The anxiety is normal, but try not to let it overtake you. This IS your time.

Hi Bee's. I too can totally relate to your fears, and it's all completely understandable given our history of struggle with IF and conceiving. I'm still in shock that I've almost made it now to ultrasound day without any serious drama... I'm a bundle of nerves myself!!!! But we both had great HCG results and Bee's you already got to see that there was a sac and it was in the right place!!!! That was HUGE!!! And Bee's I too have been having the crampy feelings - every single day! I think it's totally okay. I hope all of that is somewhat reassuring to you. Just hang in there... we are so so close now!!! Please don't keep us waiting too long after your appointment to drop an update. I'm going to be thinking of you and your little one(s)!!! Wishing you all the best!
