Hello all, Hope everyone is doing as well as could be. I had my monthly appt. with my pm doc on Monday and we were talking about my meds. Over the past 6 months he has steadily been increasing my BT meds which did not make alot of sense to me. He started me on 10 mg of oxycontin 3x daily and 10 mg of lortab every 6 hrs for BT pain and in a fairly short amount of time he went from the 10 mgs of lortab to 15 mg of roxicodone 4x daily for BT pain and then two months later went to 30 mg of roxicodone 4x daily for bt pain last mont he went to 30 mg 6x daily for BT pain. So I said all that to say that I asked him if my pain would be covered better if he increased my LA meds soooo he moved me up to 20 mg of oxycontin 3x daily and moved me back to 30 mg of roxicodone 4x daily for BT and all I can say is what a difference it has made. I cant believe how much it has helped with a more steady level of relief. Thanks to all of you because I dont think I would have even known how to approach him about this had it not been for these boards and reading what you all go through so a BIG thanks to all of you:) GOD BLESS!!! That is awesome and I am so happy that you are getting the pain relief you deserve. I pray it continues so that you may have a great memorial day weekend.

I agree - inspiring post.
Congratulations. It's so obvious - I don't understand the hesitancy with LA meds sometimes.

Great news JoJo. It's nice to know that some docs are starting to listen to their patients, instead of the tabloids and the TV talk show hosts. Please keep us posted as to your progress. Sounds like this doc may be cautious but fair and compassionate. Have a great holiday weekend. CMP/MM
