Hi everyone,

I have herpes in my mouth, but my doctor didn't call it type 1 or 2, in fact, when I asked her about it she said this strain was most likely caugh through the air, and that it was an airborne virus. I was initally wondering if anyone had ever heard of that before, because it seems a lil' insane to me...

second, i'm really worried that i gave this to my boyfriend orally. i had what i thought was a cut and turned out to be a cold sore, and before i realized what it was, I had already preformed oral sex on him. My question, I guess, is how common is it for one to receive genital herpes from oral sex. Many adults in america have a strain of herpes via cold sores, it doesn't seem as though it happens THAT often, or the genital and oral forms of this would have closer statistics. Then again, i could just be fabricating that. Also, does anyone know if it is more likely to spread herpes through oral sex WHILE you have a cold sore (vs. other times?) I know it's possible to spread it even without an OB, I was just wondering if anybody had any information on that.

Thanks in advance!

NEVER GIVE UP

yeah, I have a sore throat with blisters on my tonsils and I am wondering if I have herpes in my throat now, herpes is spread from oral sex alot..but most never get signs...my partner did not have any signs but if herpes is what I have in my throat...I guess that doesn mean anything...I have had the other herpes since last year...got it twice in one month and then have not gotten it again...that was almost a year ago..I guess that is luck, but my throat is not lucky...this hurts
