how in the world does 90% of the population have HSV-1? when i have a OB on my mouth, friends and colleagues ask what the hell it is. how come walking down the street or in school classes, going to stores, etc, i have NEVER seen anyone else with it???? if 9/10 people have the virus, shouldn't it be common to see people with OBs all the time?

or am i just confused? is it that many people with the virus never have an OB ever in their lives? if so, what percentage of the 90% of people with it get OBs regularly?

the two times I have gotten a cold sore they have been very small and inside my lip area, and they didn't last long, I don't know what yours look like, but maybe the reactions you get are from people who get them mildly lik I do, and maybe half of them don't even know they have it.
