YoungandScared 05-30-2003, 02:23 AM you talked about all the tiny paper-like cuts you kept getting down there and around the anus... Have you found anymore about this? I have the exact same syptoms you explained you had. bubble747 06-02-2003, 07:41 PM Hi Young: No, I have not found an answer to my paper cut problems. I found reference to tiny cuts as a symptom of herpes online. Yet, I am also told that it could be due to yeast infection. I still don't understand how the heck yeast infection can cause paper cut like abrasions. I was on Diflucon (for yeast infection) for two weeks in March. I haven't gotten any itchiness or tiny cuts recently. (knock on wood) I will run to my doctor's office again if I get the symptoms again. Anyway, have you tested for herpes via blood test? There was one individual on this board who experienced the tiny cuts down there and around the anus, too. However, she tested negative for herpes 1 and 2. I, on the other hand tested positive for herpes 1. So, I still can't rule out herpes. My advice for you is to get tested to see if you can rule out herpes. Have you see any doctors? Please keep me posted! bubble747 06-02-2003, 07:46 PM let me just clarify one thing. i haven't gotten any itchiness or tiny cuts down there since taking the diflucon in march. but, i don't know if i can say that just because of taking the diflucon and that my symptoms has since gone away that what i had was yeast infection. you know what i mean? however, at the same time, just because i showed up positive for herpes 1, doesn't mean that my genital symptoms were necessarily due to herpes 1. i could have asymptomatic oral herpes 1. it's very frustrating to be where i am. like i wonder if i'll ever find out what's my symptoms were. Wonderer 06-03-2003, 09:51 PM Hey everyone. About your tiny paper like cuts, do they come and go? I have been experiencing symptoms similar to that for 3 months straight now. But they never have come and gone. They have just been consistant. Has anyone ever heard of a 3 month long OB? How long do OB's usually last? Thanks! [This message has been edited by Wonderer (edited 06-03-2003).] bubble747 06-06-2003, 01:37 AM my paper cuts come and go. they could last as short as one day (healed by the next day) and as long as 2-3 days. i don't feel them until when i wipe myself down there or when i shower and wash myself down there with soap. i have switched to dove sensitive soap and i haven't felt any paper cuts since march (knock on wood). i don't know if it's the soap or by coincidence. |
