I'm due to ovulate around June 7th and this will be the first month my husband and I will stop using condoms and start ttc. I've been married a little over a year and I have never been pregnant. I got off BC pills in November. Needless to say, I'm a little nervous and REALLY excited!!! :D:D:D

So, I checked my hypothetical due date online. The due date is Feb 26 (IF I get pregnant next month). Are the online due date predictors accurate? I would actually love to give birth in March. March 7 is my wedding anniversary. I guess I'm jumping the gun a little! :D Just curious... This is all so new to me!

Well, I told my co-workers today that my DH and I were going to start trying. I work at a Medical Spa w/ all women, so they were beside themselves with happiness! One of the girls I work w/ suggested that I buy a book titled "A Child Is Born". She said that it was very informative and it has illustrations of the growing fetus. I'm getting REALLY excited, but I'm afraid that I'm going to get my hopes up, then be let down when I don't get prego the first month.....

DH and I are started our Baby Dancing last night! So, I read on here that someone was BD'ing every other night... ? What's the reasoning behind that? Is it not good to BD every day? Also, has anyone scheduled an appt. w/ their docs already? I'm scheduled for my yearly on June 12th.... I wonder if the Dr. can do a blood test and find out if I conceived?

nice to meet you too. my husband has been extremely stressed at his job, so i'm hoping we can keep up with our baby dancing. he works weird hours, ALOT of weird hours, and i think its finally catching up to him.. he doesnt seem to be in the mood to "dance the dance." so i let him get his sleep last night, but tonight it's on like donkey kong. i'm hoping if we BD tonight, sunday and tuesday i should have a fair shot. he's just so exhausted the past 2 weeks that he hasn't much been in the mood. i have a feeling this is going to be a bad shot this month. i doubt we will BD sun or tuesday.. probably only once next week (prime time.) i just have to figure out which night to do it.
poor DH.. i feel so bad for him. i want to BD every hour on the hour, he just cant keep up and now i fear he's loosing his drive. i'm hoping its just stress at work and not that he's changing his mind about conceiving.. please keep me in your thoughts as i try to figure this out....:confused:

cookie -- i'm with you too -- dh works long hard hours and isnt always in the mood, which happened 2 months ago and of course we missed that month. and last month he was out of town. but i am trying to stay out of his way when he is at home and trying to keep things on the positive side here at home since his work life is so stressful and demanding. maybe you could take opk and see which day is your surge and then seduce him that night and possibly the next night. but be sure to do it when you get your surge.
about dh possibly being down, well, try laying low and not putting too much pressure on him. if he is experiencing too much pressure at work, he may be on overload if he's coming home to pressure as well.
i'm one to talk!! because i usually have high expectations from dh too. arg.
i only have 3 opk sticks and i am going to start peeing on them tomorrow.

i did read somewhere that if you are not exactly sure when you ovulate, do it every other day, so the sperm can regenerate, maybe someone can confirm this. thanks

We didn't BD yesterday, so today I was hoping to get busy, but my husband has to work a 6p-3a shift (he's a State Trooper) sooo... I doubt it will happen unless he takes a break and comes home ;) It's so hard to arrange BD'ing when the DH and DW work different schedules!!!! Sometimes my husband comes home stressed and exhausted... sooo.... I can relate.
Changing subjects, I have a hair appt on Tues to get my hair colored. I have highlights for the summer currently, but I'm going to get it colored back to my original shade so I don't have to deal w/ hair appt's while I'm trying to get prego. I'm really nervous b/c I think I'm going to ovulate earlier this month (sometimes I ovulate as early as the 11th day) SO, on Mon-Tues I could ovulate and HOPEFULLY conceive. Do you guys think I should go through w/ the coloring???? I'm so torn! I have asked my friends and they say to go for it.... but I feel uneasy. :confused:

There is some demi color that does not contain amonia and the other "smelly" chemicals that they can use. When I was preggo with DD I colored my hair every couple of months.... I believe they used a color with vegetable die or something... can't really remember...Ask your stylist. Good luck BD'ing!

I asked my ex SIL about the hair color... you can still dye your hair through out the pregnancy... just ask them not to use anything with harsh chemical smells. Or of course the alternative dye. Good luck everyone

well, update on DH.. he knows i've been very cranky the past couple days (due to lack of romancing..) and we actually had a decent conversation last night, and all he said was "he'll make it up to me." so, hopefully we can get back on our schedule. he didn't say if he was changing his mind about conceiving, but didn't deny it either. i think he's just been stressed out, but we're leaving on vacation on thursday, and his work hours are NORMAL the next few days leading up to vacation, so i can already tell hes relaxing.
i've noticed my CM changing too. saturday was creamy, as well as sunday, today is a bit whiter, and more of it. so, if DH keeps his promise and makes it up to me, i should be BDing tonight and tomorrow... and wednesday!!! haha plus plenty of it on vacation too (but by then, i should be on the start of my tww.)

I finally have something to update you all on... I started OPK's yesterday... got a very faint line. This afternoon I POAS and the line is darker. Then this evening I thought I better test again just to be sure... and sure enough I hit my LH surge... two beautiful equally dark lines. DH and will be quite busy the next 3 days! I am hoping this is our month. Hope all you ladies are doing well!!!!:angel:

i am pretty sure i had my surge yesterday.
i had a negative surge on the 31st and the 1st -- then ran out of opk sticks !!
but i am pretty sure it was yesterday and dh and i will bd tonight for good measure --hahahaha.
but technically, i think i am cd1.
my bday is on the 16th and i sure hope we get a positive by then !!
good to read about everyone -- i wonder when the "phantom" symptoms will start ;) ???

p.s. just wanted to tell yall, with dd i poas on cd9 and got a negative result, then poas again on cd11 and got a very faint positive...so according to that the earliest i could test with an accurate result would be friday, june 13...for those who have a child what was your experience ??

i started cramping faintly today.. i really didn't think you could feel it so much with ovulating, but there's definate cramping. still had a bit of EW today, so BD'ing again tonight (if i didnt wear out DH too mcuh last night!! ;))
so since there are a bunch of us, when do we start counting the dpo's? i haven't done the opk's (??) so, i only guestimate when i start dpo's. i either ovulated yesterday, like RIGHT NOW or tomorrow. i guess i'll just pick a day and go!

It is my understanding that you start counting the day after either a positive OPK or the day after your estimated ovulation day... I could be wrong but that is my understanding. I am gonna go with tomorrow to start my dpo. I am still getting positive results on the opk so that is what I am gonna do. Good luck to all!

I've also experienced light cramping/bloating today... like I'm about to be visited by AF. I usually don't have these symptoms w/ O. Hmmm... could we be having prego symptoms this soon????

Morning Ladies, just thought I'd pop in. I'm now CD12. So DH and I bd'd last night, I think we'll leave it for tonight and then go again tomorrow night, so that woud be CD13 and then again on CD15. My opk was negative yesterday, so I'll test again this evening. Had a bit of CM yesterday, kinda EWCM, but not sure, so used preseed anyway. So that's my update! Best of luck to us all and its really great having everyone here, it's not many people you could talk to like this and tell them these details........that wouldn't want to know! Ha Ha

i truely think i ovulated yesterday.. had the ewcm monday and tuesday (none today) and i had some mild cramps. my husband does not want to use the opk's yet, he still wants us to just try (for right now) by just using the calander. he said doesnt want to waste the time (and extra money) on things we can use a calander for. so, DH gets his wish and i'm counting yesterday as my O day, so i'm considering myself today 1dpo.

bd on the 2nd and last night me and dd fell asleep before dh got home from work so we didnt bd !!! arg.
we are going to bd tonight. he has promised to wake me up if i am asleep again. he was in the dog house this morning when i woke up and realized what happened !!!
well, i am cramping to and have a dull ache in my lower abdomen. so we shall see. with dd nothing happened to my boobs !! no aching, no growing -- nothing !! not until a week after i gave birth did my milk come in. you know i didnt even get colostrum after giving birth. weird, i know... the nurses where like "what the ???"
ok -- bd tonight, although i think if something was going to happen, it already did. just going to bd tonight, just to make sure. and trick myself into feeling better about it. but honestly, if this is our month, i think bd on june 2 did the trick...so we shall see...

Didn't have EWCM yesterday, but OH BOY do I have it today. Will be BD'ing AGAIN tonight. This will be the 3rd day in a row we have BD'd... I think we're going to BD every night until Friday (predicted day of ovulation). Although, I think I'm going to O tomorrow... Just a feeling...
Yesterday I felt achy and BLAH and didn't have any noticeable EWCM (I don't check my cervic, I just notice when I use the restroom). Thought that maybe I O'd yesterday, but I'm feeling better today.
My question is: How exactly does a woman tell when she has already O'd?? When the EWCM stops? :confused:
I guess we will cont. to BD until I know for sure that I have O'd, which will be Sat!

Maybe one of you guys can give me some insight on this one. This cycle is very odd to me... I got postive OPK's on CD 11& 12 didn't really have ewcm, just wet I would say. Today got a negative on OPK and I am very dry...kind of like right before your period dry. Has anyone ever experienced this?

Hi andreanchris, from reading that book. I think what you explained is normal. It says you have a few days of ewcm, then it stops, seemingly the day it stops is your peak day, then immediately after you o, I think it's the progesterone that kicks in straight away and that drys up your CM. So accordinging to the book and to what you've said, I think it sounds perfectly normal xx

today is CD17 for me. i have been monitoring my BBT and have done a couple OPK's....still nothing to inidicate that i have ovulated this cycle. however, my CM has been looking pretty good so we've BD'd several times this week.
yesterday was my pap smear appt. and the first "preconception" visit i had with my Dr. She gave me a clean bill of health and the go-ahead to keep trying. it was encouraging.
has anyone definitely O'd without a spike in temperature? i am wondering if this is possible?

today is CD17 for me. i have been monitoring my BBT and have done a couple OPK's....still nothing to inidicate that i have ovulated this cycle. however, my CM has been looking pretty good so we've BD'd several times this week.

dpo3! we bd last night just in case. :) so we shall see...
here are my experiences.... i usually have ewcm leading up to the O and on the day of O and then just a little cm the day after O and then driness.
i never tempted, so i dont know about that -- but the opk have worked like a charm for me. w/ dd opk was + on exactly day 14, my usual day, but this time (and last month) i O 2 days late according to the opk. so keep peeing, i totally trust the opk.

about age, i got preg. w/ dd at 32 and delivered at 33 (was 33 for 2 months) and this time i hope to get preg. now -- 2 weeks before turning 34 and then deliver at 34. i really would like a 3rd and possibly a 4th, so we are on the move over here!! sept. 8 is my 10 year anniv. w/ dh.

dpo1 (I'm guessing) DH and I BD'd yet again last night... even though he and I were both exhausted!!! I think next month (if I don't conceive this month) I'm definitely going to buy OPK's just to know exactly when to BD...
I'm worried that we have BD'd too much and that IF I did O yesterday, my DH didn't get to "build up" his sperm count to fertilize my egg.... ugh... I think I'm stressing out too much!
There is NO way that we have the energy tonight to BD, so I'm hoping I O'd yesterday... It's just so hard to tell!
I really hope that atleast one of us get's prego this month!!!!!!

Good morning Ladies, well I finally got my pos OPK yesterday evening CD13, so we BD last night again. I know what you mean about not having the energy to continue with the BD! But we're going to try tonight, if it doesn't happen tonight, then definitely tomorrow and then we'll just see back and wait and see what happens and the tww will begin! We must try not to stress this time around on the tww wait, I know it's practically impossible, but we'll keep each other going xx

bond and elaine -- yall are doing great so hang in there !
and bond, i think it's ok to bd so much. dh and i bd for almost a month straight when trying to conceive dd. and it's good for dh to regenerate fresh sperm, so you are good. sperm live for around 3 days, so you girls are both good.
dpo4 for me, i'll test a week from today...

we are not using opk's either, its only the first mo trying, i am gonna try to rely on the calendar, at least for a few mo.

Thanks for the encouragement, Meluca :) I'm guessing I'm 2dpo and I'm feeling really bloated and I'm having some slight cramps... ?? Not sure what's up w/ that.
I just found out that my sis-in-law is prego w/ her 3rd baby! She's 34 and already has 2 girls (3 and 1) I'm so excited! I really hope we conceive this month so my sis-in-law and I can have babies close together!
Speaking of my sis-in-law, it took her about 6months to conceive my oldest niece. The dr. put her on Clomid b/c she was having problems w/ ovulation. With my youngest niece ,she didn't have any problems and didn't need clomid and the same w/ this pregnancy. She is due the end of January.
In the past, I have had ovarian cysts and my dr's nurse told me that I may have to get on Clomid to help me release an egg each month. I go to see the Dr. on Thurs and hopefully he will perform a blood test on me and see if any pregnant hormones are present.
Sorry for such a long post!! I'm just full of emotions, questions, and anxiety!

Today he's not around, so we've done our work for this month.
This is the hard part now, we only got to BD CD11 and CD13 with a pos opk. I started getting O pains on the eve of CD12 and still have them today a bit on and off, so I'm guessing that today is O day, so I'm not going to consider myself 1dpo until tomorrow. Elaine~ I completly understand. DH tells me on my "peak" day that he wasn't in the mood... so we only BD a hand ful of times if that. Hopefully it was enough. Baby dust!!!

I laughed when I read your post, it's just typical isn't it. Glad we're in the same boat. I had to try very hard not to be annoyed last night, but then we can't expect them to just perform on demand! I suppose it's hard for the man and the woman, I mean we just don't turn into a nymphomanics one week of the month for nothing! I don't know about you, but it takes a lot of effort on my part as well. Ah well, hopefully we've done enough. I'm going to go onto the tww tomorrow, so I'll be posting there.....see you there!

how is everyone? we are having a heatwave in the NE. i feel good, the only thing i feel is my nipples hurt, not the boob, just the nipple? ever have that in 2ww?? maybe i am looking into it too much, lol

when my friend was pregnant her nipples alone where on fire. one time she was at the grocery store and had to go running out of the store, get into her car and take off her shirt and bra.
ive been nausiated for 2 days, headachy and ichy all over.
i hope this is for a baby and not some crazy bug.

I'm not sure when I O'd either. I'm just counting the day after I finished having EWCM. This is my 1st month TTC, so I didn't use OPK's.
Gosh, I really hope that this is our month!
