Now I have read that asymptomatic shedding occurs about 10 random days out of the year and that it is possible to transmit the virus during this time.
However I would like to know if a person that is asymptomatically shedding has swollen lymph nodes near the infection site as when there is a regular OB?

They might...or might not. The whole thing with asymptomatic viral shedding is it's not always possible to know when it's happening. Sometimes people will get minor or sensory-only symptoms or indications (like swollen lymph nodes or itching or tingling) but sometimes it just happens too.
If you're getting swollen lymph glands in the groin with no other symptoms, it could be an indication that the virus is active in your system, even though you're not getting other symptoms. You might try a regimen of supplements and herbs that help drain the lymph system to see if you can get them down. Probably best to consult a naturopath or herbalist for that.
Garlic is good for that, I think, and can be bought in odourless capsule form. Kyolic is one of the better brands for that. I buy it combined with astragalus and vitamin C, which I find can be very helpful taken daily to build up the immune system along with multivitamins.
The percentage of time that a person will shed like that can vary A LOT. I think we tend to shed a lot more in the first year after contracting it, as the body is still building up antibodies and learning how to fight it off. It can also go up during times of stress and poor health. I believe the average has been clocked at about 3-5% of days, but has been clocked as high as 50-75% of days during testing studies.
