Everyone says smoking and ttc don't go together, but I really don't know what the actual implications are. I suppose try cutting down would be better than nothing. Best of luck!

It is lead to unhealthy sperm and can reduce the count since it is a unhealthy habit. It wont drastically reduce the sperm count.

Could it cause abnormalities in the baby? I mean if it affects the sperm, not if he smokes infront of the mother.

No it wont effect the baby the way you are thinking. The deformed sperm arent able to fertilize the egg. So no worries there.
