I have had some irritation in the groin area and thought that it might be the hair, so I tried shaving under my groin and my inner thighs. Should there be hair there? No change has be noted, it has been sometime now the hair is back and I do not want to shave it again. I am having much more irritation and my inner thighs are darker and it hurts. I read it is chafing and I just started to exercise to try to reduce my thighs size, but it will not happen overnight. What can I do? I tried baby power, vasline, baby oil, calamine lotion.

I had (have) the same problem depending on how vigorous and what type of exercise I am doing. Buy a good pair of bicycle shorts. Not the ones with a padded butt, but the ones that are the spandex. Make sure to push them all the way up inbetween where the crease of the inner thigh and scrotum meet. Sometimes I wear them underneath my boxers and wear them all day. They work awesome until you start losing some weight in the inner thigh area.

I will look into the bike shorts, in the meantime I looked at the area where you descriped and it is red and peeling with small red dots. If it is because my thighs are rubbing or was it because I shaved in that area 2 months ago. Most of the hair is back now and I'm not removing it again, unless it needs to be.

I've never personally shaved in that area before. the only time I have seen the red dots, etc was when my thighs rubbed together excessively. Shaving the area can cause some irritation and then as the hair begins to grow it stubbles and when it rubs together it is even more irritating. Good luck with the shorts!
