Hi everyone,

My husband has pain at the top of his right butt cheek, right above his waistline and hurts all the way up to his kidney. He doesn't have any of the symptoms of a pinched nerve or sciatica, and there hasn't been any injury. It seems to get worse with stress and stretching. It goes anywhere from a dull achy pain to sharp stabbing pains. If anyone knows what this could be, we would greatly appreciate any ideas. Thanks!

hi there, was wondering how long your husband has had symptoms for, and if the pain is there all the time??

has he had a urine test, just to rule out an infection.

i had initially thought of sciatica before reading ful post, as i have had that, and it did sound like the same sort of pain, but now i'm at abit of a loss, sorry

hopefully with more info, there will be an answer.

good luck meantime

Hi hi,

Thanks for answering, he's had the pain for about a month, maybe a little longer. It is dull all of the time, but gets sharper when it stretches. He changed chairs at work, and changed the chair he sits on at home, and that seems to be helping a little bit....I guess we'll see. :)

Does he carry his wallet in his back pocket? Which side? I know this caused my husband some trouble at one time. His wallet had gotten too thick, but not with money;). Just a thought :)

No, he carries it in his front pocket, thanks for the suggestion though. :)
