How long before you should take a pregnancy test after having sex? It's been 7 days, and I'm wondering if it's too early or not.

I know First Response says it can detect pregnancy 5 days before your period, but I had intercourse 5 days before my period. Does that mean I have to wait for my next one?

it takes a while for the baby to implant. like a week or so. I took a first response 4 days before AF was due and the line was so faint that I had to hold it up to a light to see it. so I would say wait untill you cant wait anymore then take a test but if it says NEG then just wait 2 days to take another one. dont think your not pregnant untill AF shows. Good luck:D:D

7 days is the absolute earliest that the test could possibly work. It's at least 2 weeks before a negative can be considered at all reliable, and it's possible to have negative tests for a month or more.

2 weeks, but the new expensive digital ones can do it a few days earlier. roughly £20 for 3 tests x
