View Full Version : 10 Month Son Feet/Hands Turn Blue and Quivering

I have a couple of questions that I hope I can get some help on. For the past couple of months, my 10 month old son's legs and hands will turn blue off and on throughout the day. He can be sitting, being held, laying down, it does not matter. The doctor really did not say anything about it at his 9 month checkup. Also the tip of his penis has been blue since birth and the doctor just said that normally the color goes back to normal at 9 months of age but that was the end of that. For the past 7-8 days now his mouth has been quivering (shivering) like he is cold but his body is not cold to the touch. It has been 85 degrees outside and he is still quivering. He was wearing a heavy sleep and was quivering. I told him to the doctor Monday because I knew he had an ear infection (one of many) but it was at the very beginning stages and he has never quivered before when he had ear infections and he was even hospitalized for 3 days with one. I hate calling the doctor and making a mountain out of a mole hill so I'm wondering if anyone else had this happen or heard anything about this.

Sorry for the long post.

Hi, first of all, try not to worry! That being said, I am a true believer in a mother's instinct. Trust yours!! If you feel something is just not right, you definitely should bring your child to the doctor. You know your child best, and don't let anyone try to shrug off your concerns. Let us know how everything turns out!
