Hello all,

Sorry for the lengthy report but i'm pretty concered.

I am a first time mother of a 4 month old boy. When he was born he made a funny noise when breathing in, midwife just said that he would grow out of it. After two months it continued and I was advised by another midwife on a home visit to take him to A&E, he was checked all vitals in order and sent home to return to chest clinic in a fortnight. After a couple of chest xrays and more blood tests we were sent home to be refered to the ENT clinic. On seeing them they discovered a cyst above his voice box. He had this removed and after three weeks there was no improvement with the noise or the indentation in the chest. We returned a week later to have his voice box opened up now four since that op I have only noticed a slight improvement in his breathing noise, no improvement in the chest it really pulls in when he breaths and for the first time since birth his weightgain has slowed.
We are currently waiting for another appointment to see the consultant.

Has anyone ever experience this with children?

Sorry about the long ting
