Well I'm 5 DPO and therefore in the 2ww according to my charting and opk etc etc. After bragging last week about how I'd not had a cold or cough for over 2 years, something got hold of me yesterday afternoon, and by the nighttime (I worked 7pm till 1.30am) I felt awful. No sinus or headcold, just really sorethroat, ears, jaw/teeth, body aches and muzzy head. Got some good sleep, and have called in sick tonight...but worried if this can affect what I pray to God is happening 'in there':)

My temp spiked just over 37C this morning but has dropped a bit, but I just don't know if your body can fight infection, recouperate and hopefully continue to prepare and nurture any wee angels that maybe growing at this early stage.

Any ideas?..or am I just being silly and feeling sorry for myself??

Hi Airline, Im sorry you are sick, I doubt that anything can alter your chances during the 2 ww. Just make sure you keep your temperature lower than 38 C, this is the only thing that I know can make some damage to the embryo.
To tell you a happy storry, my sister had UTI during her 2ww, and went to the doctor and took antibiotics and baby is healthy and 3 y.o.
Take care and good luck,
Mady

Thanks Mady, I love hearing positive stories like your sisters'. I did some research yesterday and read that pregnant women are often more susceptible to colds and bugs because their immune system is suppressed to ensure the body doesn't reject the embryo as a foreign object. Maybe there's still hope! ;)
