I started to have small sores on my scalp, back and some other places about 10 years ago. I went to 3 different dermatologists who treated me with a multitude of medicines. One said I had trouble with my nerves and scratched to much, one said I had rosaesha, and one said she just wasn't sure what I had. But I went and went and nothing improved even though I sometimes took 3 meds a day and put on 2 or 3 differnt lotions. When My then Doctor stopped taking my insurance I was forced to find a new dermatologist. This Doctor did a biopsy and said I was allergic to almost all the medicine I was taking for all my regular conditions. Since I tell all my doctors that I am allergic to sulfa drugs the minute I walk in the room I can't believe this went on for ten years.

Unfortunately this is only too common....as horrible as it sounds, at least you found out after 10 years...some people never learn the truth and some people out and out die from the oversights of doctors. Adverse reactions/side effects were considered the fourth cause of death in the USA just a few years ago. I doubt things have changed...they've only covered up their mistakes and altered the statistics.
