For anyone following my story heres an update. Been about 2 months since i ended my 4 week restart protocol. Talked to the doc last week. Levels are low, but there is good improvement. These are my levels from a couple months ago before the restart:

Total Testosterone-160
Free-23.1
Bioavailable-48.6
TSH 1.92
T4 1.6
FSH 2.2
LH 1.9

These were taken 6 weeks after stopping the restart

Total Testosterone-437
Free-67.5
Bioavailable-141.7
FSH 1.7
LH 3.1

These are the highlights from the urinalysis done 4 weeks after restart;

Testosterone-38 range 45-85
DHEA-3508 range 5-1476

When i took the urinalysis i was feeling awful, however 2 weeks later when blood work was done i felt like i was leveling out. Overall now i feel good, ive started another more aggressive restart protcol. I responded to a weaker, 4 week protocol so Dr J has faith that i will have success. It also appears i have some adrenal issues, they are trying to pick up the slack since my T is low. Doc said they should level out once levels are normal again. Overall, not too bad i guess. Levels are still not where they gotta be, but i did respond and saw good improvement from earlier tests. Hopefully this stronger protocol will kick butt. I can say ive been on it for 5 days and so far none of the depression and awful feelings i had the first time i started the restart. I think my HPTA is in a much better place. We shall see.

What is the reference range on the Bio T? Do you know if it was calculated or a direct assay?

Thanks

Just a longer doseage of serms with a more balanced taper down. Had another mri done and got results today. They say there is a 2mm nonenhancing focus on the pit gland. Meaning theres something very small, but there not sure what it is. This is good, last mri said a 4mm focus. So it hasnt grown, if there is something there. Im thinking whatever it is is too small to be causing my hormone problems. Hopefully the restart will take care of business.

Got some labs done at the endos last week. This is on 2 weeks of tamoxifen. Total T is at 900, Free is at 160. Good levels, my body obviously still has the ability to work. Hopefully the longer recovery protocol( im calling it that instead of restart now lol) with the better tapper down will allow me to keep good levels this time.

What dosage of tamoxifen are you taking and how frequently?

My doctor asks that i not go into detail about treatment plans so i will respect his wishes. But ill say its not an extremly high dose and im responding very well to it.

Okay. Any improvement in the ED department while on tamoxifen?

Yes, ed is gone while on tamoxifen, hopefully stays that way. My sexual problems are 100% due to low testosterone.Quick update for anyone following, at 4 weeks into it i had urine tests done. Testosterone came back 74 on scale 45-85. My estrogen is on the high side though. Hopefull T stays up and E2 goes down, i got about a week left on the meds then i wait a month and retest.

Joe,

If you do not mind me asking...How high is your estradiol?

Also, what exactly does tamoxifen do? It's purpose?

i dont have the E2 numbers in front of me, but they went up a bit. tamoxifen pretty much tricks your body into producing more testosterone if it can. It will show you if your HPTA is intact like mine is. From there, you just kinda hope your body will pick up its natural rythm if there is nothing blocking it.
