My 2 yr. old daughter threw up a little bit ago and she has had a fever since she woke up this morning. She seems to be doing ok considering her tummy ache, however I'm concerned my 3 month old son will get it. Is it dangerous if they get the flu at such a young age? I haven't gotten it yet but I'm sure I will...and I'm the one who is with my kids all day and I even sleep with my son so I am really concerned he will get it now.

Any advice? Thanks:)

He's old enough that his body knows how to deal with a minor illness. HOWEVER, he is still small enough that dehydration can become a problem quickly. If he should catch it, just watch him closely, and take him to ER if he develops excessively high fever or goes more than 8 hours without a wet diaper or shows other signs of dehydration.

IV fluids cure dehydration so quick and easy, it's amazing.

Who knows? Maybe no one else will catch your daughter's bug. Washing hands between kids could help protect the baby, if he isn't already exposed. Good luck!
