My two year old daughter gets real gassy and whiny and has stomach cramps after drinking regular milk she has just been taken off her formula because she was low in iron we kept her on the formula.. However now she has been having these problems with the regular milk and 2% milk even as an infant she has had problems with her formula my question is does anyone know if the lactaid milk is safe to give to toddlers? or any other advice?

You could just try no dairy at all for a couple days, just to see what happens. If that fixes her stomach, then worry about how you're going to replace the nutrition, especially the fat and calcium.

Soy is nice, for example. Lots of veggies, also.

anything is possible.... i agree with the previous poster about going off dairy for a few days and seeing what it does for her.

another possibility though.... do you give it to her straight from the fridge (cold)??? whenever my two year old drinks milk cold, she gets fussy and whiny and gassy and a few times has thrown it up, but if i warm it, she does just fine. i don't know what it is about drinking cold milk that sets her off, but it bothers her little tummy. if you don't already, you could try warming the milk. just a thought.....
