Hi -- I new to the board. I am so glad and relief to find out that there are support group(s) for us.

Anyhow, I was was wondering if anyone experience a patch of itchy/bumpy rash after taking Valtrex? I recently started taking Valtrex. After taking 3 tablets, I started getting rash behind my knees, a bit on my chest and at the bend of my elbow. It took a week for the rash to finally stopped itching and spreading. It now looks like a dried up bruise.

I did noticed that "rash" is one of the side affects from taking Valtrex.

Welcome the board, BeGone. I think I would get a doctor to look at those rashes, if I were you. It sounds like it might be an allergic reaction, but I'm not a doctor. If it was me, I'd want my doc to look at it. Good luck. Let us know how you make out.
