My daughter has loose stool when she is teething. I'll have to change her what feels like a million times a day because she has poop all the way up her back! is this a possibility with your little one?

Avoid milk for sure, other dairy too. Do the BRAT diet. Bananas, rice, applesauce and toast. You can also give her complex carbs...potatoes, crackers, pasta (avoid the sauces though), pretzels.

Make sure you give her lots of water and not juices which will make it worse. It's actually better to give them gatorade, but water is best. Too much sugar also makes it worse. One time I thought I was doing good by avoiding juice, so I gave my son koolaide. The high sugar made it all return again.

You can also buy probiotics over the counter. It's a capsule that you can mix in a drink or sprinkle on food. It puts good enzymes back in the intestinal tract which are usually stripped with diarreha.

Hopes this helps.

I just brought my almost 15 month old to the pediatrician on Friday for loose stools and she told me to do EXACTLY this!!! Wish I had just read this post!! :)
