Is it possible to get a canker sore in your vagina. I have read up on canker sores and I do occassionally get them on the inside of my cheeks. It looks like a canker sore, symptoms match, eveything matches, except I haven't read anything which states whether or not a canker sore can occur on the vagina. ????

I might be wrong on this but I don't think cankers are found anywhere outside the mouth; only inside the mouth. If you do a search on the Internet for cankers you'll find more info about them, and I don't remember reading anywhere about them being anywhere except inside the mouth.

Cankers are not caused by the herpes virus, although the symptoms can be similar. If you have a sore in the genital area like this, I'd recommend you see a doctor about it. If you have it there now, see your doc ASAP before it heals too much to tell what it is. If it's already healed, go see your doc as soon as it comes up again, if it ever does, and get a swab test done. Good luck! I hope it turns out to be something other than herpes.
