I am starting to get alittle scared -
The right side of my face (from my forehead all the way down to my chin, including the right side of my nose) has been going numb and tingling for over a week now. It comes and goes but is becoming more frequent now. I have had an increase in the frequency of headaches also. I went to my GP yesterday and she took some blood. I also have an MRI scheduled for Friday evening.
Has anyone expereinced anything like this. At first I just thought it was a fluke and would go away but this is not normal and is really worrying me.

Hi My husband is having the same problems. I was wanting to know if you found out what is causing this. Thanks, Amy Lynne

hi, i have had something like that. mine has been mostly in my cheecks. it was a pins and needles kind of feeling. mainly on the left side. i also had the same feeling in the middle of my throat. i got in to see a neuro because i also have some of the same things going on in my hands and feet. i had an mri done the other day. i havent gotten back in to see him yet, but my pcp called the other day and quite nastily told me that the mri was normal. he didnt want to give me the referral to the neuro to begin with. since i have a depression diagnosis he wants to blame everything i have on that and tell me all my problems are in my head. i sure hope you have better luck than i have had. i hope also that the neuro looks at the mri himself. i know that there is something going on. i have a positive ana...which means i have an auto-immune disorder of some sort and he did find that i am severely deficient in b12. best of luck.

Herpes viruses and lyme disease can cause facial numbness (through inflammation of the facial nerves) and it might be a good idea to at least get these ruled out.
Not trying to scare you - just giving you something else to bring up to your doc.
Good luck and please keep us posted. :)
