hi everyone
i am having a little freak out here and i would like some one to try to calm and or validate my fears.
today i found a bump on my left labia on one side and "something else" on the other. the one on the left, i have decided is an ingrown hair. it is something that i am accustomed to seeing so i know what they are. this led me to sort of check myself out cause i had recently began sleeping w/ some one.
on my other labia, sort of on the inside, i found a small, flat, pain free whitish spot. no puss, absolutely no pain (until i started messing w/ it. but now it's just irritated, not painful), just a white circle-ish spot.
now, the other day i was in a hurry and did a quick shave and i got a little heavy handed with the razor. i noticed a feeling of razor burn, but i don't remember slicing into myself. could it be that i've nicked myself and didn't notice and that is what i am seeing? a healing cut? i've never cut myself there and so....yeah, what do you guys think?

It's really hard to tell "from here." Could be something quite harmless that will heal. If it doesn't get better in a couple of days or if it gets worse, see a doctor.
It might be a good time for you and your new partner to get type-specific blood tests for HSV. If nothing else, you'll both have a baseline for what you have and what you don't. Most of us have HSV-1 orally (cold sores) so be sure if either of you feels a tingling around the mouth or has a cold sore, don't perform oral sex on the other.
Good luck! Let us know if the problem persists.
