Had a mammogram monday and my doctor said it showed microcalcifications in the left breast. I am going in tomorrow for more "views" and maybe an ultrasound. I'm really scared.

Tori, hang in there! I also had microcalcifications and went in for a follow mammo. Based on the positioning and the fact that last year they saw nothing, I had a biopsy this past Monday. Got the results in 2 days - no cancer. From experience I know it can be scary, but 80% of microcalcifications are not cancerous.

Hi Tori,
I too, had a biopsy for microcalcifications in April and the report was benign. It's true that 80% of breast biopsies are benign. Read my posts under ladyabby. I hope this helps.
