Hi all
I am a 24 year old female and I was diagnosed with HSV2 in 1997. I looked all over trying to find a support group to help me deal with this, but couldn't find one. Now, I have just been diagnosed with HPV and am going crazy!! I have moved in the last six years and this town doesn't have any support groups either. (both are big cities) Does anyone have any information on support groups in their states?
Thanks

You might try asking Planned Parenthood, your local public health agency, or a nearby STD clinic or hotline. I know of a site connected with a herpes dating site that lists support groups but this board's policy forbids me to post the URL. You might find it with a search though. There are a number of Yahoo groups with herpes themes, where you might get more leads too.

Good luck!

Actually planned parenthood doesn't have any in Colorado. Not to mention the fact that they have been no help at all other then the initial diagnosis. Now, I am not knocking PP, because it is a good service, my town just has an overwhelmed clinic.
I have literally combed the entire state of colo. and unless i missed some tiny town or city-there are no std support groups of any kind other then for HIV/AIDS.
This is not cool to me, so in response to my original post I am wondering if anyone has information on starting a support group.
