Hello, one week ago I received oral unprotected sex. The next morning I had minor discomfort. It felt more like I just shaved and my hair were really prickely. I never got any burning or itching sensation, not even tingles. Just like electric prickles. I went to my doctor after a few red spots came up, but they were more like ingrown hairs because I squeezed one and the same white puss came out (tiny bit) like it usually does with my ingrown hairs. Then my doctor took a look at them with a magnifying glass and said that they couldn't be a STD. So he gave me some cordizone cream and it seems to be working, the spots are disapearing quite quickly *I do get red spots over my body sometimes too - like dry skin* and now I just have once in a while a little pulse almost around the head of my penis. So far it seems that everything is alright and going fine. What do you think this sounds to you? GH without violent symptoms? *i hope not* Is there anything else that this could be, or just mental jitters and over analyzing symptoms? Please let me know - Thanks

Hi again DontKnow,

I'm glad the cortisone cream is working for you! Cortisone cream can often make herpes worse (not always, but often) so if it's helping you quickly like that then that would seem to support your doc's theory that it's not herpes.

Did he say what he thinks it is? If you get the same symptoms/spots all over your body, that doesn't sound like herpes. Herpes tends to stay in the same area (like the genitals), not spread out all over. If it's looks like dry skin then perhaps it's eczema or psoriasis or something similar.

It sounds to me like the chances of you having genital herpes are pretty slip. In that case -- congratulations! And please be more careful about sex in the future. We don't want to see you back here again! (if you know what I mean http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wink.gif )
