I just got hair extensions put in for the first time, I got the sewn in , weave kind. I absolutely love it but I did a bit of research on it and there seems to be different opinions on it. I'm paranoid that it's going to damage my hair. I don't have very thick hair to begin with, and I'm completely terrified of it thinning out or having bald patches and I read that can happen from sewn-in weaves. It's called "traction alopecia", to be more specific.

The reason I did my hair in the first place is because I'm going away on vacation and I wanted to have long, THICK straight hair. But after I read some of the damage that it can cause I got really paranoid and thought I should take them out asap. I haven't taken them out yet because I wanted to get some more opinions.

Do you think my hair will be okay if I keep these extensions in for 2weeks or should I take them out now because they will damage my hair. It's such a pain because I paid $300 for them and I'm wondering if this one time will actually damage my head.
