as you can see i am new at this thing. three years ago i saw the first out break but i paid no attension to it then a month later i saw it again.i read alot about these things so i had an idea ofthe symptoms but i was scared to confirmit. i went and did a blood test and i tested positive to have had some form of erpes idont remember exactly which one butihave had a few out breaks since then especiallly when i just confirmed it because i wasso worried. i told my boyfriend and my bestfriend knows because he came withme and he collected the results. my boyfriend is supportive and he is just very careful now but i dont feel bad or anything likethat.idont take medication cause where i live thats a big thing if you buy those things so when i have an outbreake i bear the pain and the discomfort and hide it from my boo. i put hydro peroxide on it and it eases the itching a bit but when i sweat it itches like crazy does anyone else have any ideas

I have the massive itching problem myself. On the other threads, I've read that Oil of Oregano seems to be working for some. I have h on my buttocks and I swear that when I have OB i think I am going to die! it itches sooooo bad! I have two small children and they often times like to sneak up on me to "scare" me and they always manage to bump into me on the OB spot!!! Fortunately, I keep them out of the restroom or away from me whenever I am undressed so they don't come into direct contact with the OB area. I would suggest since it is apparent that you have access to the internet, going to a search engine like "Google" or something and researching herbal remedies that may suit your needs. Do you have like health food stores in Jamaica?

San, I'm not sure what to suggest for the itching (Lanacaine?? maybe not on tender mucous membrane tissue) but Advil (ibuprofen) or other anti-inflammatory pain killer might help the pain.

I'd say avoid stuff like Lanacane, or other creams like that, because the sores need to dry out. Which is why it's such a p!sser when you get thrush at the same time as an OB!:-(
Something like OOO might relieve the itching, partly because the stinging takes your mind off the itching for a bit(!), and because it seems to heal the skin quicker. But that is just *my* experience of it.
Secret_san, is there any way you can go to the other side of the island and visit a shop or doctor there? And make up a cast iron excuse for buying whatver it is, just in case? I just hate the idea of you suffering in silence because of potential gossip...

Are you sure you don't have a yeast infection? Herpes can trigger yeast infections and vice versa. The itching sounds so severe that it could be something other than herpes, and in the case of yeast, it's something you could fix fairly easily.
Good luck.
