I have been with my partner for over a year now and I have just been diagnosed with clamydia. I've been tested 6 months ago and was diagnosed with BV, I only went for another screening because I felt like I had the same symptoms.
I've had THE TALK with my partner and he has promised me he hasn't had sex with another partner and I certainly haven't.
I just want to know if clamydia can be dormant with this situation, or have I just got my head in the clouds?

I've been sexually active with my partner for almost 6months and just found out this week I have chlamydia. I know I contracted it about 3 weeks ago when the symptoms really started showing up. We are both faithful to each other and wonder why I didn't get this sooner. I guess dormant could be the word for it but sometimes you're partner (especially male) can carry this without having any signs and symptoms and it doesn't always transfer! Its scary to think you can have something for years and it doesn't always transfer right away. I'm no doctor but in my experience I would say yes, this could happen to anyone.

well if you have both gone for the recommended check up together when you both started being sexual active together then you would know the answer.
No one on here can tell you if your boyfriend cheated or not, i hope you learn from this and next time you find a partner get yourself both tested before having unprotected sex...
