If he has low T, then you MUST find out why before proper treatment can begin. Low T can be caused by a tumor, it is a sign of possible heart disease and it can result from other serious illnesses. Treating yourself could mask serious life threatening disease....DON'T DO IT.

Tell your husband it could be serious and you are not going to let him get sick on your watch. Remember that one symptom of low T is apathy and the decreased ability to make good decisions for yourself. Make an appointment for the doc and go with him. If he refuses to go, go yourself and tell the doc what you know and ask advice.

It could be a brain tumor which can only be found if you are looking for it. Most probably he has never had an MRI or CAT scan of his brain. It has been known to take over a decade to find such tumors because they are very slow growing in most cases.

16 years is a long time to be without testosterone and he could have several problems that would not be picked up on a routine physical but are serious problems once discovered. That would include osteoporosis (bone loss), atherosclerosis (a blood vessel disease known to be associated with ED), heart disease, and muscle loss. Other symptoms could be diagnosed as something else such as arthritis, or asthma.

If he has been throught the medical system so many times, what's the big deal about asking his doctor for help on this problem? In all this time he lied to his doctors and said everything was fine when it wasn't? That is pretty foolish if you are having surgery.
