Recent blood test results show my SHBG jumped to 65 from 42 in February.
Since hi SHBG is regarded as an estrogen amplifier I would like to lower it
and free up some T. I am still stuck with physicians keeping me on 200mg
T-Cyp bi-monthly injections (self injecting). I can't seem to find anything
describing a way of lowering SHBG and I wonder if the 65 might be a lab
error since I had been tested last July and last October with results of 39
and 41 and February being a 42. Grateful for all comments.

I suspect that is a lab error. Lowering SHBG is not easily done and you can only have minimal effect from my understanding. I also suspect we (humans) do not have much knowledge on manipulating SHBG yet. I suggest you re-test it in a month and see what that shows.

Also pointing to test error is the FAI (free androgen index) that was part of
the same test results. It is shown as 21.7 on a range of 14.8 to 95. And
my understanding of the FAI is that it is the result of dividing TT by SHBG.
And my TT is shown as 407, so I just can't get the numbers to add up.
Another question, HF, in case you read this. Wondering how you arrive at
a good dosage for the resveratrol to lower E2.

I don't think the relationship of TT to FAI to SHBG is a simple diviision. It's more complicated than that. There are other proteins in the body that bind to T and effect free T or FAI number.

On the Resveratrol, it is not the best aromatase inhibitor around......but it does have other health benefits which is why Dr. Shippen wants me to use it. I use Pure Encapsulations 200 mg caps, one per day. Dr. Shippen suggested 2 per day however but I use one for cost reasons. It's not extremely expensive but he has me on multiple supplements and things tend to add up.

One last question, HF. You wrote that resveratrol is not the best AI
around. In the way of natural substances what do you regard as the
best AI around ? I have been using DIM. How does it rate ?

I think DIM is regarded as the best by most but I have read some brands are better than others. I have used Indoplex with DIM by Phytopharmica, my doctor suggests DIM by Pure Encapsulations.
