I'm not sure what to do.. I have fibro and RA. I take 2 Cymbalta,2 Lyrica,2 naproxen a day. Along with loratab when needed. Before going to the Rheumo that dx me with Fibro and RA. I did'nt know what was wrong being that test were run and nothing showing up. But, since I started taking the meds, I feel somewhat better. Not, as much pain. But, the problem is after taking all of this meds I feel drugged at work. But, if I don't take the meds I hurt so bad I wish sometimes I were just dead. I still have some pains specially in the mornings when I get up. I have to take pain meds just so I can get ready for work. I have heartburn daily.I'm still having trouble thinking and remembering. I can be taking a shower and can not remember if I've already washed my hair or not. LOL!!So at that time I will wash it just in case I have'nt. My parents are telling me to go out on disability. But, the only problem is that my rhumo dr. does not do disablility. So, therefore she will not sign the paperwork. I have disability insurance thru my employer. But, I have to have 2 signatures. I know Primary Dr. would sign it. Thanks for any advice.

welcome,
may i suggest you find another rheumy who will sign the paperwork? i also have fibro and r.a. so i know what you mean. you have to choose between being in pain or feeling doped up. i chose the pain.
you can also ask your primary doc to help you with this. perhaps a letter from your primary doc to your current rheumy may help. or another referral elsewhere to someone who will sign papers. wonder why your current rheumy won't sign? curious. did you ask her why?
you take care and keep your candle of hope alive. only you can do that.
peace,

Thanks Blue for your reply. I signed a paper stating that I understood that this Dr does not do any disabilities or workers comp cases. I only signed it because I was going to her for a cure. Now, that I know there's no cure just meds that I start taking and feel good again, then something happens like I start swelling with Lyrica and being too dizzy. So, now I know that I can not work without the meds. But, then when I take the pain pills I'm so doped up I can't work either. So, I've got to do something different. I guess I'll try and find another dr.
