I know that OCD can make us do some odd things at times, but I was just curious if anyone ever felt the compulsion to stare at the sun?? I used to do this when I was a kid. I think the fear arose out of all the warnings about the sun and the damage it could do to your eyes.
My mom doesn't understand OCD and still makes misunderstand comments/jokes about the time "when I couldn't stop staring at the sun."
So I was just curious if anyone ever experienced this compulsion, and if not, what's some of the weirder things your OCD has convinced you to think or do??

I'm afraid I cannot post mine; they'll probably be erased b/c of their nature...I don't know. I kind of feel like I do things only half way (when they are dangerous and I have a compulsion to do them) to simply PROVE to myself that I won't go through with it. this bothers me a great deal...I don't feel safe in my own skin these days. I've never had this before. It's a recent development in the past couple months.
My question is: does anyone feel like they have to do something simply because they can? even when it lacks reason? (especially when it lacks reason) or doing something you know is taboo, dangerous to your health etc?
I'm afraid this will never go away...and I'll always feel on the verge of losing it.
