Both could be. Both could not be. There are a multitude of problems that go on down there, including herpes.

It is essential that you go now and get tested. It is much easier to test for herpes when you have a sore than after it clears up. If you don't get tested, you'll have to wait months before you can be blood tested, and by then, you might pass it on to someone else.

When you get tested, ask for a type-specific culture.
