Hi All
Just wondering as I had a talk over this with my girlfriend,u may find this weird. I have obession in peoples hair smelling it or feeling it. Is this classed as a mental Illness as it is still done I am now 28, it cannot be stopped.
I been this way ever since I was born.
Some ppl seem to class it as a fetish but it dont turn me on like sexual fetishes do.

so you feel a compulsion to do this? and when you try to stop, you can't? I would say that sounds like ocd...do you feel a sense of relief at any point during the smelling/ feeling of the hair?

Thanks for the reply
Im not sure how to describe this, its like an urge to smell or touch the hair, I do it all the time I see my girlfriend or mum. This also occurs if I hug a person.
When I feel the hair, it feels lovely and soft as for smelling it seems to relieve me bit. I been doing this since I was baby.

so it doesn't turn you on but you don't necessarily hate it? I think it sounds like a mild fetish to me...well maybe that's not the correct word b/c it's not sexual, but...unless it really bothers you (I would think it would be endearing!) or is severely disrupting your life, I wouldn't stress over it :)
