Has anyone heard of or tried a product called choraphor? It claims to greatly reduce the number of outbreaks. Anyone tried it?

The only place I've heard of Choraphor working for someone was on their own website. A few people here tried it, not one had any change whatsoever. I haven't tried it, but I don't think it works. If you try it, let us know how it goes.

Ulp - we may be back to snake oil here.

Choraphor appears to be a mix of - drum roll - sulfur, St John's wort and trace metals! It claims to 'destroy' the virus, and that attacks will become less serious over time. Errm, but for many, they do anyway. I'm sure these ingredients might have a topical effect in healing, but at $93 a bottle, I think you could use Backpacker's suggestion of making your own garlic oil and get the same effect - and have plenty of money left over for having a good time and cheering yourself up! :-)

Yeah, save your money. I tried it in the earlier, more ignorant days of having this disease. It seemed to kill off the OB's quickly but they still came back and eventually, it did nothing at all. I wish I could have saved that $100.00 and spent it on a months worth of supressive drugs.(which have worked for me) Live and learn once again.
