i am trying to find out if i have hpv. i currently have a boyfriend and we started ahving sex a while ago. We were both virgins, and neither of us did anything with other people. i am wondering if i might have hpv somehow? or if the disease may be transmitted genetically.

The way I understand it HPV is transmitted from skin to skin contact. If you are an age where you can get the HPV vaccine, I highly suggest you get it.
If you and your boyfriend have only had any type of sexual contact with each other, then I highly doubt either of you has it. If/when either of you goes beyond this relationship, then there is a good chance for that person to be exposed to HPV.
HPV is not transmitted genetically.
