I was wondering... what do herpes look like exactly? i thought maybe it looked kinda like blisters or something. I'm not sure what i have. i mean, inside by my vagina (the entry point, i don't know all the technically stuff) there is what sorta resembles a blister, well it has now turned in to two, and i think more are starting to show up. But, on the outside i have what just look like little bumbs. almost like mesquito bites. there's three different bumps like this and at the very end (middle?)there is just a little red dot. almost like a scab, but they don't pop or anything. first they just started as bumps. then the next day they were really sore and had the red dot. i'm really getting scared about this. is there any type of infection that could look like this, if it's not herpes? and here's the other weird thing... all the bumps and everything are only on one side of my genitals, then the area in between the vagina and anus, it hurts on the opposite side. Wouldn't herpes be around the whole area? does herpes keep spreading day by day? because that's what mine is doing. if anyone knows anything and can help that'll be awesome

You should get to the doctor ASAP while there are still visible symptoms so that they can do a culture. Herpes looks really different in alot of people but that sounds like it could be something. Who knows...you really need to get them cultured. Otherwise you will have to wait 12-16 weeks to get a blood test done. Be aware that cultures do have a high false negative rate as well. The pictures of herpes on the internet are worst case scenario and not everyone gets those. Get to the doctor the wondering is the worst part. I have been waiting for almost 4 months to get a definitive answer and it makes you crazy.
